Topic Description:
The International Civil Aviation Organisation sets global standards for air safety. In India, the Aircraft Act, 1934 contains provisions for safety of aircraft operations. Following audits by the ICAO in 2012 and 2015, the Amendment Bill seeks to give recognition to the existing regulators under the Act and increase fines for all offences.
