India's first manned mission to space, Gaganyaan, is on course to keep its date with the Moon.

According to the Indian Space Reasearch Organisation, a budget of Rs 10,000 crore has been set aside for putting the infrastructure in place..India's strategic partner Russia - a world leader in space program and technology - is offering its semi-cryogenic engine technology and critical components for the human space capsule. Discussions are still underway, and an agreement is likely to be reached in the next few weeks.
