The International Film Festival of India was kickstarted in Goa on Wednesday. This edition of the festival is special since it is also the Golden Jubilee year of the IFFI.

Being held from November 20 to 28, the 50th edition of IFFI has around 200 films from 76 countries.

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth will be honored with the Icon of Golden Jubilee Award, while French actor Isabelle Huppert will be conferred with the IFFI Lifetime Achievement Award.

Besides, to commemorate the golden jubilee event, the festival will also showcase Indian films completing 50 years in 2019.
