      • Total Teams: From this edition onwards, the number of participating teams was expanded from 32 to 48. A total of 104 matches were played during the tournament.
      • Major Venues: Matches were held across 16 cities in North America. The opening match was played at Estadio Azteca in Mexico, while the final was held at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey.
